An ancient olive tree #villaadriana. There is so much wild nature here - wild rucola, mint and other herbs under these beautiful olive trees. I had forgotten how luscious the landscape is around #hadriansvilla

Some of my favorite villas on the Brenta Canal are the abandoned or barely maintained ones. The landscape is reclaiming them...

With the amazing @alessandrodalcorso So fun to spend a few days @villafranceschi to relax, swim, bike and enjoy fantastic, healthy dinners each night. Feeling a little emotional because I realized it was exactly 20 years ago that I came to the Dal Corso family’s first hotel, beautiful Villa Margherita with @butterfieldtravel on my first trip to Italy, when my love for Venice, the Veneto and Italy was born. So grateful to have experienced these special places and have met such special people who are now good friends. πŸ™πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜πŸ˜˜

Heading out on the road this morning from @villafranceschi (only highly skilled bikers can ride with their eyes closed πŸ˜‰) Sunny today! πŸŒžπŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸŒž

A river shrimp crossing the road - my friends here say she is an indication of a healthy ecosystem. She is holding a lot of eggs with her tail! @elizwilli512 you would feel right at home here! Looks a lot like a crayfish to me πŸ˜‰
